We’ve been experiencing explosive growth and are looking for a talented individual to join our expanding team.
We are actively hiring for a PV Solar Designer. Our perfect candidate is professional, reliable, and extremely detail oriented.
The position is responsible for the following:
Create and modify plan sets, electrical 3-line and structural designs for PV projects in AutoCAD and Sketchup
Understand national electric codes and fire codes requirements in project jurisdictions
Coordinate with other team members to complete designs meeting project deadlines
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field required with 5+ years of solar design experience
Proficiency in Aurora, PV Watts, AutoCAD
Proficiency in Sunrun
Knowledge of the Electric (NEC) and Fire codes required
Experience with various solar panels and inverters preferred
NABCEP Associates Photovoltaic Certification preferred
Knowledge of residential structural techniques is a plus
Critical and innovative thinking and attention to the details is a plus
Candidates should be comfortable with all portions of solar design; structural, roofing, mounting, electrical line drawing, NEC, AHJ and utility requirements.
